Joan Pauline Seeberger, 81, died suddenly on Dec. 22, 2024 from consequences of Parkinson’s. She will always be remembered as an exceptionally kind, loving and nurturing woman who spread happiness everywhere. Born on April 6, 1943 in Berwyn, she was a graduate of Northwestern University, became a successful Burger King franchisee, and later went into retail management at Talbots. She raised three beautiful children, loved playing tennis and was active in coaching kids. She also enjoyed skiing, hiking, bicycling, and walking especially at Turtle Creek Park.

Joan is survived by her children, Melissa Martinez, Stephen Seeberger and wife Isabelle; her grandchildren, Nicholas Martinez and wife Laura, Alexander Martinez, and Liliana Seeberger; her great-grandchildren, Averylynn Caroline Martinez and Bennette Emmeline Martinez; her twin sister of Patty Jurgens; her nieces and nephews, Dave, Jenny, and Mike Jurgens, Kathy Lofy and Vacin children Donald, Andrew, Christine Driver, and Alexandra Greenan; and 12 children of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark.

Services will be private. Arrangements were handled by Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home.
