In recent years, consumers of all ages have advocated for products that can support a healthier lifestyle: foods without genetically-modified ingredients, additives and dyes and beauty and home cleaning products with fewer chemicals.

And now, locals have an added resource to obtain these: a new business in Brookfield that sells all-natural skin care and cleaning products and provides holistic health services.

Luxxe Honor, which opened its doors in town in February, is the brainchild of Jennifer Del Giudice, a Western Springs mother of three whose idea for her business started over a decade ago from a mission to find products for her family with less harmful ingredients – a feat, she says, has historically been a struggle in this country.

“My journey started as a mama bear on a mission,” Del Giudice explained. “My daughter was dealing with severe bloating, eczema, vomiting and anxiety, and no one could give us real answers. So, I started investigating everything we were using in our home and on our skin, and what I found was staggering – hormone-disrupting, toxic ingredients hidden in everyday products.”

With a background as a registered nurse, certified aromatherapist and oncology-trained aesthetician, Del Giudice believed she had the tools and expertise to create the products she struggled finding in the mainstream market.

“I started formulating clean, botanical blends, and within weeks, [my daughter’s] skin was clear and her body calmer,” she said. “That was my spark – I knew I had to share this healing with others.”

From there, it became Del Giudice’s mission to bring her knowledge to others to help them live cleaner, healthier lives.

Branded as a modern wellness apothecary and healing space, Luxxe Honor offers customers clean, botanical-based skin care and home products made without ingredients that many doctors and researchers say are harmful to health, including parabens, phthalates and synthetic fragrances.

“Everything we do is essential oil infused – rooted in plant medicine and crafted with care to support your mind, body and spirit,” Del Giudice said. “Beyond products, we offer self-care services that help you reset, reconnect and truly breathe. We’re here to help you fill your cup – not just with products, but with presence. Because when you’re rested and aligned, everything else gets better.”

In 2014, Del Giudice first opened the doors to Luxxe Honor in Countryside, later relocating to other spaces in Hinsdale and La Grange. But, she says, the move to Brookfield this winter was the best way for her to simplify her offerings while providing quality products and services in a fresher, larger location.

“The moment I visited beautiful Brookfield, I felt an undeniable sense of warmth and community,” she said. “The energy was beautiful – grounded, genuine and welcoming. I knew this town was where I wanted to plant roots and offer something meaningful. Grand Boulevard felt like the perfect home for a well-being space like ours. I’ve always been drawn to the heart and soul of Brookfield – it’s become a second home to me.”

With products including face cleansers, deodorants, essential oils, candles, home sanitizers, all-purpose cleaners and soaps, to full-body services like facials and massages, Del Giudice says Luxxe Honor is part apothecary, part sanctuary.

“Whether you’re seeking relief, ritual or rest, you can trust what we offer, because it was built from love, science and a mission to do better.”

Del Giudice said that since opening in Brookfield, the most common reaction from customers has been “relief.”

“People feel seen here; they feel safe,” she said. “Luxxe Honor isn’t just a store – it’s a healing space. We’re not a spa; we’re a wellness studio with soul.”

Like others in the clean wellness sphere, Del Giudice said that now more than ever is the time for people to begin paying attention to the types of products and ingredients they use for themselves and in the home.

“Our skin is our largest organ, and what we put on it matters,” she said. “The U.S. still allows thousands of ingredients that are banned in Europe. From skincare to cleaning supplies, many everyday products contain hormone disruptors and toxins that affect our physical and mental health. At Luxxe Honor, we believe in taking a preventive, gentle, least invasive approach to wellness. Cleaner products mean fewer risks, fewer side effects and a stronger foundation for long-term well-being.

As others in the cleaner health movement would argue, Del Giudice said people are happy to be waking up to the need for seeking out alternative products.

“With rising chronic health issues, hormone imbalances and autoimmune conditions, it’s no longer just about what we eat – it’s about what we absorb,” she said. “Our skin, our air, our environment all play a role. And, once people see how good they feel when they eliminate hidden toxins, they don’t go back. It’s not a trend – it’s a lifestyle.”
