The RBFC Soccer Club’s 2013 girls team achieved a big goal by finding the back of the net several times. The 2013 girls captured the Puma Generations Cup U12 White Division championship with a 5-2 victory over the Chicago Soccer Academy, May 18, at the Stuart Sports Complex in Aurora.
2013 girls team members were Luciana Acosta, Francesca Foushi, Cece Geletka, Leonora Guardi, Haley Halmon, June Hoffmann, Emma Rose Ingram, Emmy Johnson, Ada Kuykendall, Sophie Lesniak, Marian Machak, Lola Madonia, Raegan Muirheid, CeCe Rio, Mia Schwartz and Kira Sievert.
The RBFC Soccer Club is a youth program that works with athletes from around the Riverside and Brookfield communities.
The 2013 girls defeated the MidState Soccer Club 4-1 in the Puma Generations Cup semifinals earlier on May 18 after going 3-0 in pool play and outscoring Campton United SC, Lyons Township SC and Hawthorn Woods Elite SC by a combined 15-2.
Meanwhile, the RBFC 2015 boys and 2013 boys teams joined the 2013 girls in winning their respective divisions.
Members of the 2015 boys team were Emmett Bischof, Emmet Bloom, Luke Bowen, Miller Chobot, Liam Coover, Joey Dvorak, Kiaan Hala, William Iwersen, Max Mannix, Crew Mantei, Sebastian Pedersen and Blake Sievert.
Members of the 2013 boys team were Rhydian Alexander, Nathan Bass, Everett Cervantes, Leonora Guardi, Joey Halic, Haley Halmon, June Hoffmann, Aidan Kaczmarczyk, James Kalfas-Ryan, Jaxon Lesniak, Grady McCoy, Patrick Megall, David Rodriguez, John Schrier and Matt Wolf.
Coaches Maddy Georgopolous, James Unger and Danny Pena worked with the three groups.
