John J. McLaren, 90, of Brookfield, formerly of Suring, Wisconsin, Berwyn, and Scotland, died on Sept. 21, 2025. A lithographer and printer, he was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and the United Chess Federation.
John was the husband of the late Verona J. McLaren (nee Adamson); the father of John McLaren, Kevin McLaren and Patricia (Ray) Mizura; the grandfather of Victoria (Christopher) LaPaglia, Mary (Dustin) McIntire, Ray (Lindsay-Ann) Mizura, Jack McLaren, James Mizura and Jane McLaren; the great-grandfather of Michael McIntire, Emily Verona McIntire, Scott McIntire, Sonny LaPaglia and Theodore Mizura; the brother of the late George McLaren and Alexander McLaren; the brother-in-law of David (the late Maryann) Adamson, the late Laura (Frank) Desider and Patricia Adamson.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 9445 31st Street, Brookfield. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at St. Louise de Marillac Church, corner of 30th & Raymond, LaGrange Park. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
