On behalf of Riverside Presbyterian Church, we wish to publicly thank Jacob Jones for his Eagle Scout project benefitting the entire church community, and to recognize his leadership and hard work. With the support of his family, he created nine beautiful raised garden beds, complete with dirt, for our church grounds in time for spring planting. Three will be planted by the residents of the manse located next to the church building; three will be used by the RPC Preschool; and three are for the congregation’s Green Team, which seeks to promote eco-friendly practices.
Since 1939, RPC has proudly sponsored Scout Troop 24, of which Jacob Jones is a member. We are grateful to Jacob for selecting RPC for this well-executed service project, which will enhance our outdoor space, open up learning opportunities, and further our congregation’s missions of feeding the hungry and being good stewards of the Earth.
