Paul Lawrence Bocian, 75, of Brookfield died on July 1, 2026. Born on Jan. 12, 1951, he was a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran and Retired Captain in the LaGrange Fire Department. He proudly served the village for 20 years from 1981 to 2001 and was also a longtime member of the LaGrange Fire Fighters Association IAFF Local 2338.
Paul was the son of the late Gerald F. and late Lucille (nee Sniegowski) Bocian and the brother of Christine (late Marvin) Lanzel, Garry Bocian, Janine S. (Thomas) Harder, late Donna Saculla and late Neil Bocian.
Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Aug. 26, 10:30 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 Hoff Road, Elwood. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the public information center by 10:15 a.m.
