Roland V. Ceragioli, 78, Riverside Lions Club member

Riverside resident Roland V. Ceragioli, 78, died March 26, 2009.

He was born March 7, 1931 and served as a corporal in the U.S Marines during the Korean War. He was also an avid hunter and a member of the Riverside Township Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Ceragioli (nee Macchini); his children, Dennis Ceragioli and Nadine (Thomas) Esposito; his grandchildren, Nicole Ceragioli, Justine Esposito, Anthony Esposito and Michaela Esposito; his siblings, Edwin (Nancy) Ceragioli and Joanna Reszka (Donald) Heyboer; and his mother-in-law Genevieve Macchini.

A funeral service was held March 30 at Ivins Funeral Home in Riverside, which handled arrangements.

Edward M. Cikanek, 67, Former Brookfield resident

Edward M. Cikanek, 67, formerly of Berwyn and Brookfield, died March 19, 2009 at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, Nev.

Mr. Cikanek lived the last 20 years of his life in Las Vegas. As a civil engineer, he came to Las Vegas to work on the Yucca Mountain Project and retired in 2005. He was active as an AWANA commander with the West Charleston Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Las Vegas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gwen. He is survived by his daughter, Chanda (Bryce) Oliver; his son, Joseph Cikanek; his grandchildren, Amber, Sheldon, Stacey and Sara; his sister, Marie (Frank) Trankina; his sister-in-law, Carol (Mark) Kyrias; his nephews, Steve and Matthew Kyrias; and his niece, Hallie Kyrias.

Funeral services and interment were in Las Vegas. Memorial contributions were appreciated to AWANA Clubs International, PO Box 987, Streamwood, Ill. 60107.

Jeannette C. Dvorak, 72, Nurse

Jeannette C. Dvorak (nee Pettey), 72, a resident of Westchester and former resident of Brookfield, died March 19, 2009.

Ms. Dvorak, who worked as a nurse, was born June 1, 1936 in Hinsdale to Elliott H. and Emma (nee Caissotti) Pettey. She was married to Frank J. Dvorak, who preceded his wife in death. The couple raised nine children.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Chuck) Bruder, Debby (George) Schickel, Mary Ellen Shanahan, Karen (Jeff) Volmut, Frank E. (Mariannina) Dvorak, Larry Dvorak, Laura Dvorak, David Dvorak and Melody D. Hamer of North Riverside; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services and interment were private. Memorial contributions were appreciated to the American Cancer Society, 7234 Ogden Ave., Suite 3 South, Riverside, Ill. 60546.

Robert R. Gipson, 62, Truck driver

Robert Randall Gipson, 62, a resident of Brookfield, died March 28, 2009 at his home.

Mr. Gipson was born in Chicago on Sept. 11, 1946 to Carl and Anna Mae (nee Williams) Gipson. He worked for 32 years as a beer truck driver and was a member of Teamsters Local 744 in Chicago.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather (Brian Carlson) Gipson; his grandson, Charles Robert Carlson; and his companion, Diane Patricia Phillips.

Interment was private.

Dolores A. Grygo, 82, Assembler

North Riverside resident Dolores A. Grygo (nee Wojnicki), 82, died March 21, 2009 at RML Specialty Hospital in Hinsdale.

She was born Oct. 11, 1926 in Chicago to Michael and Anna (nee Madura) Wojnicki. She later married Alfred J. Grygo, which preceded his wife in death, and worked as an assembler.

Ms. Grygo is survived by her son, Paul Grygo; her daughters, Barbara J. (Gary) Sedlacek of Westchester and Gloria Ott; her grandchildren, James Sedlacek, Jennifer Ott, Julie Paitl and Ryan Ott; two great grandchildren; and her sister, Irene (Bill) Muszynski.

A funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Louis Tylka, was held March 24 at Hitzeman Funeral Home in Brookfield, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Audrey D. Kramer, 78, X-ray technician

Brookfield resident Audrey D. Kramer (nee Zablotny), 78, died March 16, 2009 at her home.

Born in Chicago Sept. 2, 1930 to Arthur and Dolores (nee Juul) Zablotny, she later married Louis J. Kramer, who survives his wife. She worked as an X-ray technician.

In addition to Mr. Kramer, Ms. Kramer is survived by her son Paul (Kathleen) Kramer of Brookfield, and her grandchildren, Erik Kramer and Kelly Kramer.

Funeral services and interment were private.
