A few months ago, Charlene Vickery and Kendell Sullivan were gearing up for the grand reopening of FocusOm, their Brookfield yoga studio which underwent months and thousands of dollars’ worth of renovations.

A cold April night in Berwyn
On the night of Wednesday, April 14, the Cook County 16th District Democratic Committee convened in Berwyn. The committee consists of the eight Democratic committeepersons from the seven townships and one ward of Chicago which overlap the 16th District. The purpose of the meeting was to interview candidates and select one of them to replace Jeff Tobolski on the Cook County Board.

Irene Falout, 99, of Palos Park and formerly of Brookfield, died April 16, 2020 at Holy Family Villa in Palos Park. Born Jan. 7, 1921 in Brookfield, Ms. Falout was retired from her job as a private secretary at Merrill Lynch Corporate Investments.
