Jared Lewis “Jerry” Marsh, 79, of Brookfield, died Sept. 22, 2012 at Edward Hines V.A. Hospital in Maywood.

Mr. Marsh was born in Logansport, Ind., on April 15, 1933 to David and Lela Marsh. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In Brookfield, he opened Jerry’s Gun Shop on Ogden Avenue, changing the name in 1998 to Friendship Trade Company LLC. He faithfully attended LaGrange Bible Church in LaGrange.

He was the husband of JuDee Marsh (nee Rajsky); the father of Randy (Julie) Marsh, Teri (Warren) Souders and Fur Baby Jebediah; the stepfather of Gina (Gregory) Meyer, Darci (Patrick) Lanaghan and Jared (Katie) Schensky; the grandfather of 10 and the great-grandfather of seven.

Visitation will be on Sunday, Sept. 30 from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Monday, Oct. 1 from 10:30 until the time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 31st St., Brookfield. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Elwood.
