Despite missing starters Damonta Henry and Will Kincanon to injuries, the Riverside-Brookfield boys basketball team pulled out a 47-43 win over Von Steuben at the Team Rose Shootout at the Kroc Center on Saturday afternoon.

Senior center Miki Ljuboja led the way with 19 points and five boards, while Eric Loury turned in a solid all-around performance posting 11 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Tied at 34-34 after three quarters, the Bulldogs (5-3) benefited from timely free throws from Liam Lesniak (8 points, 6 rebounds) and Jack Gibson to ice the victory.

The Bulldogs also picked up a 62-51 nonconference win against Providence last week as Henry netted 18 points and dished out five assists, while Ljuboja (15 points, 7 rebounds), Lesniak (12 points, six rebounds) and Loury (9 points, 4 rebounds) also contributed.

RBHS takes on host Illiana Christian on Friday (7 p.m.) in Metro Suburban Conference play.
