Classic Cinemas’ North Riverside Mall theatre is excited to announce the display from local photographer and artist, Debra Mae Funderwhite. The showcase series will begin on February 1st and remain until the end of the month. Funderwhite will feature a series of highly unique portraits that attempt to convey the various stages of life, and how they resonate. The showcase will be held in the lobby of the North Riverside Mall Theatre, located at 7501 West Cermak Road.

Debra Mae Funderwhite, born in Brush Valley PA, has spent the last 30 years developing her skills as a professional photographer, producing work for newspapers, weddings, and private/commercial causes. Lately, she has been doing more documentary and portrait work, both locally and abroad. “I have culminated all of my experiences in photography to my present approach to photographing events and portraits,” says Funderwhite. “I find the art of photography very captivating.”

Funderwhite favors black and white photography, and feels that there is a sense of timelessness about her work. “When I am behind the camera, I have the opportunity to record a moment in time that will never occur the same way again.” says Funderwhite. “I find it challenging and rewarding when I am able to document the vision of a client… and reflect those qualities for generations to come.”
