Classic Cinemas’ North Riverside Mall theatre is excited to announce the display from local artist Joel Siegel. The showcase series will begin on April 1st and remain until the end of the month. Siegel will feature prints inspired by Roy Lichtenstein as well as pop culture influences from movies, TV and video games. The showcase will be held in the lobby of the North Riverside Mall Theatre, located at 7501 West Cermak Road.

Joel Siegel, 28, currently resides in Chicago and has been an artist for as long as he can remember, learning art both in and out of school as a child and teaching himself graphic design on the programs he currently uses to produce his prints. Joel bases his pieces on the pop culture that has impacted the world and influenced his life. “I create these pieces about movies, games and TV so the viewer can be taken back to those moments of incredible emotion whether it be shock, fear, pain, excitement, love, passion, realization, joy laughter or shame.”

Joel looks forward to triggering these emotions in his viewers at the North Riverside Theatre. “I am thrilled to have fellow movie fans see my movie themed artwork and I hope they enjoy it as much as I have making it,” he says. In addition to displaying his work at the theatre, Joel will display his prints at the artist alley at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo in late April.
