Lyons Township High School sophomore Stephanie Lin defeated Hinsdale South’s Emma Adcock 16-21, 21-16, 21-17 in the singles final of the badminton state tournament at Eastern Illinois University over the weekend.
Lin, who pulled off three straight upsets en route to the state title, is the first singles medalist in LT history.
The Lions took sixth place at state in the team standings.
