BOYS SWIMMING

RBHS edged out St. Ignatius and Andrew to claim the 60th annual Riverside-Brookfield Invite title on Saturday. The Bulldogs’ medley relay team of Kevin Garza, Christian Chavez, Quinn Risley and Tim Somers enjoyed a historic afternoon, breaking the pool record. Other medalists for RBHS included: Dominic Rosa, Anthony Colon, Joey Rosa and Simon Kritikos.

WRESTLING

RBHS earned second place behind host Lisle at the Melichar Invite on Saturday (1/18). Individual champions: Nick Giurini (113), Antonio Ochoa (132), Richard Theus (160), Zach Colvin (170). Consolation champions: John Szydlo (145), Shannon Hickey (195), Zach Greenwell (220) and Gabe Lopez (285).

NAZARETH

Mouw earns Athletic Hall of Fame

On Friday, January 17, Brookfield resident and Class of 1992 Nazareth Academy graduate Ryan Mouw was inducted with six other members into the Nazareth Academy Athletic Hall of Fame. When he attended Nazareth, Muow played football, basketball, baseball and also ran track for the Roadrunners. Among his many accomplishments, Mouw earned all-conference recognition in football, baseball and track. He holds the school record in the individual 800-meter dash with a time of 1 minute and 58.9 seconds.

In college, Mouw started three seasons for the University of St. Francis football team and led the Saints in interceptions.
