Richard G. Hrody, 79, of North Riverside, died May 2, 2015 in Melrose Park.
Mr. Hrody was born Nov. 2, 1935 in Chicago. He served with the U.S. Army National Guard. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, his dogs, photography, music and comedy.
He was the husband of Dolores Hrody (nee Kernan); the father of James (Michelle) Hrody and Robert (Claudia) Hrody; the grandfather of Alexander, Morgan and Daniel Hrody; and the brother of Eleanor Hrody.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 7 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 Desplaines Ave. in North Riverside. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 8 at 10 a.m. at Mater Christi Church in North Riverside, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
