Maybe Neil Pellicci can chalk it up as a late going-away present, but the former superintendent of Komarek School District 94 can rest easy now that his wish to see the school removed from the list of polling places in suburban Cook County has been realized.

For all of you folks who live in North Riverside west of 9th Avenue, if you go to Komarek to vote in the primary on Tuesday, you’re going to find the doors locked. Instead, head over to your new polling place a couple of blocks east at Mater Christi Church, in the basement.

Yes, it’s a primary election, but there’s plenty of local impact — a library referendum in North Riverside and a street referendum in Brookfield — not to mention the presidential primaries on the ballot.

So get out and vote.
