Roy L. Farwell, 97, of LaGrange Park and formerly of Cicero, died June 4, 2019.
Born June 11, 1922, Mr. Farwell served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was employed afterward as a butcher in a grocery store. He was also a member of the Berwyn Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Mr. Farwell was the husband of the late Elsie Margaret Farwell (nee Wick); the father of Deborah K. (Frank) Tallerico and Jeffrey A. (Jeanette) Farwell; the grandfather of Jeffrey (Kelly) Farwell, Matthew Tallerico, Valerie (Kosta) Antonopoulos, Meghan Farwell, Douglas (Nicole) Tallerico and Clarissa Farwell; and the great-grandfather of six.
Visitation is on Tuesday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to time of service, 11:30 a.m., at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 31st St. in Brookfield. Interment is at Elm Lawn Cemetery.
