Emil Brkovic, 99, of LaGrange Park and formerly of Brookfield, died Oct. 1, 2020.
Mr. Brkovic served in the U.S, Army during World War II and graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
He worked in management for International Harvester (subsequently Navistar) for over 30 years. Once retired he worked in real estate and construction. Mr. Brkovic was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Westchester #955 for over 50 years, serving as Master Mason. He was a longtime member of the Brookfield Moose Lodge #1599, serving as governor and business administrator. He was a volunteer for 21 years at Hinsdale Hospital.
Mr. Brkovic was the husband of the late Rose Brkovic (nee Lenti) and Anne Pandola (nee Bronkema); the father of Karen (Jim) Siveira, Emil James Brkovic and Lynn (Gerard Linn) Brkovic; the grandfather of Heather Silveira; and the bother of the late Joseph (the late Joyce) Brkovic.
