Marco A. Ramirez, 49, of Chicago and known to his family as “Our Captain,” died Jan. 15, 2021. Mr. Ramirez worked as a mechanic.
He was the son of Maria Ramirez and the late Jessie Ramirez; the brother of Tomas (Adriana) Ramirez, Patricia (Eduardo) Ramirez-Flores, Jessie Ramirez Jr., Sandra (John) Shaughnessy and Kristina Ramirez Lugo; the uncle of Stefano Ramirez, Christopher Flores, Liam Shaughnessy, Luciano Ramirez, Avery Shaughnessy; the nephew of “Chila” Ramirez and “Pancho” Ramirez; and a cousin and friend to many.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Louise de Marillac Church in LaGrange Park. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
