Want to get a sneak peek of Brookfield Zoo’s festive holiday lights before the Holiday Magic Festival? If your answer is yes, then the Reindeer Run is for you! Tell your friends and family to dig out their running shoes and join you at the fun run Saturday. The zoo’s annual Reindeer Run is sponsored by Revolution Brewing and it takes participants on a two-mile run that runs throughout the park. Considering the Holiday Magic Festival is right around the corner, at the time of the run, the park will be decorated with more than 2 million LED lights! Doors will open at the north entrance at 5:30 p.m. where runners can check in. Registration is $30 and spots are limited so don’t wait, register now! Runners who are 21 and older with a valid ID can end their run with a complimentary beer or non-alcoholic hop water from Revolution Brewing. There’s something to run for! Light the Tree with Santa

Gather your kids and join the North Riverside Park Mall in ringing in Santa for the lighting of the Christmas Tree! Mayor Mengoni, DJ Jingles, elves, and the carolers will help welcome Santa as the North Riverside Fire Department arrives to officially kick off the holiday season.
