Carlos G. Jara, 55, of North Riverside, died on July 14, 2026. Born on July 6, 1971 in Chicago, he was the husband of Blanca (nee Zavala); the father of Crystal (Eric Robledo) Jara, Joaquin Jara, and Luis Jara; the son of Mariam Sara Jara (nee Basurto) and the late Eusebio Cruz Jara; the grandfather of Penelope Robledo and Ezekiel Robledo; the brother of Abraham (Emma Sorensen) Basurto, Juan (Maria) Basurto, Jose-Alberto (Sandra) Basurto, Beatriz (Paul Sorenson) Camargo and the late Luis Jara; the uncle of Armani (Amanda) Basurto, Abraham Antonio (Carly Hagglund) Basurto, Christoper Basurto, Jonathan (Martha) Basurto, Beatriz (Israel) Ramirez, Francisco (Crystal Vasquez) Camargo, Zelina (Brandon) Erickson, Giovanni (Shyeeta Lashae) Camargo, Elisa Jara, Angel Jara, Adilene Magana, Erika (Gustavo Cerrud) Magana, Roman Magana, Karely Zavala, Mairely Zavala, and Ailani Zavala; and the great-uncle of Ariella Basurto, Ace Basurto, Austin Basurto, Madison Basurto, Anthony Johns, Israel Ramirez, Jacian Ramirez, Julius Ramirez, Leo Ramirez, Kensie Camargo, Kimora Camargo, Katalina Camargo, Keanu Camargo, Nathan Erickson, Gianna Camargo, Xavier Macia, Julia Magana and Dalila Rodriguez.
Visitation was held on July 17 at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 S. Desplaines Ave., North Riverside. The funeral Mass was celebrated on July 18 at St. Agnes of Bohemia Church, Chicago. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park.
