John Thomas Kobylarz, 40, of Lyons, died on July 23, 2026. Born on March 16, 1986, he was the son of Thomas Kobylarz and Maria (nee Escobedo) Kobylarz; the brother of Joseph Kobylarz and Kimberly Kobylarz; the grandson of Esperanza Escobedo; the nephew of Patricia (late James) Flanery, Fred (Cynthia) Escobedo and David Escobedo; and the boyfriend of Valerie South.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 S. Desplaines Ave., North Riverside. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on July 30 at St. Mary Church in Riverside at 11 a.m.
