Brookfield and Riverside’s village boards will look largely the same for two more years, as the candidate slates endorsed by the PEP Party and Riverside Community Caucus have won their uncontested races, according to unofficial results from the Cook County Clerk’s Office.
Brookfield President Michael Garvey and Riverside President Doug Pollock will retain their seats alongside Brookfield trustees Kit Ketchmark and Jennifer Hendricks and Riverside trustees Aberdeen Marsh-Ozga and Elizabeth Kos.
In Brookfield, Kyle Whitehead and Michael Melendez will replace outgoing Trustee Edward Côté and Clerk Brigid Weber, respectively. Côté and Weber told the Landmark in October they were unable to run for reelection due to reaching their term limits.
In Riverside, Joseph Fitzgerald will take the place of outgoing Trustee Megan Claucherty, who did not seek reelection after her first term on the village board.
The new village boards will be sworn in at their first meetings in May after Cook County certifies the election results.
