Russell Ralph Rende, age 75, of Brookfield, died peacefully on Feb. 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Chicago, he was a video and stereo equipment buff and an HO gauge train enthusiast. He worked as an HVAC technician.
Russell was the husband of Paulette Rende (nee Janvrin); the son of Dominic and Lorraine Marie (nee Shonder); the brother of Dominic (Carol) and foster sister Laura Schieberle; the uncle of Elizabeth (Chris) Pelling, Nathaniel (Tami) Rende and Kathryn (Jay) Campbell; the great-uncle of Addison and Joshua Pelling, Samantha and Evan Rende, and Owen and Sylvia Campbell.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 14 from 10 a.m. till time of Mass at 11 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 5005 Wolf Road, Western Springs, IL 60558. Interment at Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Darien.
