Orlando F. Lenzi, 83, of Burr Ridge and a former longtime resident of Riverside, died April 3, 2015. Mr. Lenzi was born on Dec. 4, 1931 and served in the U.S. Air Force. He lived in Riverside for more than 25 years and formerly owned Portable Medical X-Ray Services of Chicagoland.
Allan H. Krol, 67
Allan H. Krol, 67, of Brookfield, died March 31, 2015. Mr. Krol worked as a truck driver. He was the father of Monte (Susan) Krol, the grandfather of Noah Krol and Lily Krol and the brother of Helene (the late Bob) Andersen.
Jean A. Kozlick, 87
Jean A. Kozlick (nee Novak), 87, of Brookfield and formerly of Riverside Lawn, died April 5, 2015.
Diane R. Klein, 54
Diane R. Klein (nee Webb), 54, of Countryside and formerly of Brookfield and Cicero, died at her home on March 31, 2015. Ms. Klein was born in Galesburg and worked as a speech therapist.
Joseph Blas, 103
Joseph Blas (Jozef Blaszczykiewicz), 103, of North Riverside, died March 9, 2015. Mr. Blas was born in Poland and was serving as a corporal in the Polish Army when Nazi Germany invaded the country on Sept. 1, 1939.Â

Fenwick boys track and field transitions to outdoor season
Fenwick senior Salvatore Flight appears on the verge of making boys track and field history this outdoor season. He and the Friars already have indoors. After record-setting performances and the team’s first indoor Chicago Catholic League sophomore-level title ever, head coach Marcus McKinley is optimistic about a relatively young lineup.
Talent runs deep for Friars in girls track and field
Fenwick senior Olivia Ryan owns the most all-state girls track and field medals in program history. In 2014, junior Grace Cronin captured the program’s most all-state medals at one state meet. The Friars boast arguably their most talented freshman class ever.
Bulldogs continue to build for future
Even though his squad was shut out in its first two games, Riverside-Brookfield High School girls soccer coach Danny Makaric is confident that the program continues to build toward a promising future. The Bulldogs return several starters, including all-conference picks Meaghan Dorsey and Esther Annoreno, from last year’s team that posted a 7-10-1 mark and lost 2-1 to Glenbard South in a Class 2A regional final.
