Riverside-Brookfield didn’t exactly play gracious host for its own invitational on Saturday, as the Bulldogs swam away with a top score of 375 in the nine-team meet.

RB won three relay events to capture first place. The 400-medley team of Megan St. John, Natalie Pike, Jordana Jantze, and Sara Martinek took first in 4:29.01. Jantze, Meghan Crowley, St. John, and Martinek took first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:44.78.

Crowley, Katherine Pike, Claire Walsh, and Natalie Pike won the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:54.96.

Martinek also won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of :25.83.

U-High placed second (224), while Lemont rounded out third place with a 170.

Lions attack York

Michael Bellisario’s 49-yard touchdown run in the first quarter of Lyons Township’s showdown with West Suburban (Silver) Conference foe York on Friday night set the tone for the Lions, who won their second straight game.

LT came away with a 24-13 victory after the Lions’ Neal Loftus closed out the scoring with a 5-yard TD run in the final minutes of the fourth quarter.

The Lions (2-2, 2-0) host Proviso West on Friday (7:30 p.m.).
