Riverside resident Alice Franks was recently named a 2013 Fellow in the Life Services Network of Illinois Leadership program. She was also recently promoted to director of campus living for Cantata Life Services in Brookfield, overseeing the operation of its independent and assisted-living apartments for seniors.
The Leadership Fellow Program was instituted to develop leaders who will elevate the quality and reputation of aging care in Illinois.
“I’m honored to be selected and to have the opportunity to meet with and work with others that share similar visions,” said Franks in a press release.
As a fellow, Franks will travel throughout the state and work alongside others in the field of aging services.
Franks has worked in the field for 20 years, first as a volunteer coordinator for Riverside-based PeopleCare. She later joined Cantata and went on to become their first admissions coordinator. In 2003, Franks was named director of assisted living and in early 2013 was promoted to director of campus living.
Notably, Franks opened Cantata’s assisted-living apartments, the Woodlands, which celebrated its 10th anniversary on June 8.
