Three members of Boy Scout Troop 111 received their Eagle Scout badges during a ceremony Feb. 6 at the at Holy Guardian Angels Parish center, becoming the 101st, 102nd and 103rd Eagle Scouts the troop has produced.

As part of their promotion process, each scout was required to organize and carry out a public service project. 

Brookfield resident Nick Marchese, a senior at Riverside-Brookfield High School, constructed and emplaced log benches with bases in the oak savanna at Kiwanis Park in Brookfield.

Dean Papadogianis, a former Brookfielder who now lives in LaGrange Park and is a junior at Lyons Township High School, created an honor garden for those who have served in the Armed Forces in front of the Riverside Masonic Lodge at 40 Forest Ave.

LaGrange Park resident David Sabeckis, a senior at RBHS, built fish habitats for the Saganashkee Slough, a man-made lake in the Palos Forest Preserves. He constructed the habitats out of PVC pipes and five-gallon buckets.
