Janice Lynn Cline, 78, of Chetek, Wisconsin, died on Oct. 7, 2025, after enduring a courageous battle with cancer for several years. Born on May 3, 1947, the daughter of James and Florence Wenzbauer, she spent much of her young life in North Riverside, where she attended Mater Christi Catholic School, followed by Riverside Brookfield High School.
While her kids were still in school, she opted to take a small but meaningful job outside of the home, where she quickly became everyone’s favorite lunch lady. A generous, loving, and kindhearted soul, with a great sense of humor and love for her family, empowered her with the strength and determination to fight tirelessly during her illness.
Jan is survived by her husband, John; her children, Jennifer (Mark) Lautenbach and Jon (Becky) Cline; her grandchildren, Ashley, Joseph, Zoey, Braxton, and Mylei; and her great-grandchildren, Bailee and Haiden. She was preceded in death by her parents and her eldest son, James.
