Gregory William Schaefer, 69, of North Riverside, has died. Greg enjoyed spending time in his boat with family and friends, planning family vacations and tinkering with his model trains. He especially enjoyed making memories with his family.
Greg was the husband of Terry Schaefer (nee Nannini); the father of Kimberly (Vincent) Palmisano and Kristen (John) Onstwedder; the grandfather of Eliana, Vinny and Hallie; and the friend of many.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd., 9445 31st St., Brookfield, IL 60513. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Jan. 8 at Mater Christi Catholic Church, 2401 S. 10th Ave. in North Riverside. Entombment at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.
