Best is yet to come for RBHS wrestling
Despite bringing only 12 wrestlers to the Rex Lewis Tournament at Buffalo Grove High School over the weekend, the Riverside-Brookfield High School wrestling team notched an impressive third-place finish. At 152 pounds, senior John Szydlo won his second tournament title of the season.
LTHS wrestling edges Marist
The Lyons Township High School wrestling team already has a signature win this season. The Lions edged last year’s Class 3A state runner up Marist 37-36. LTHS has also won the Barrington Invite and opened the season with 46-18 victory over Plainfield East in late November. Although it’s early, the Lions are off to a very encouraging start.
