The Lyons Township High School girls basketball team has already produced some impressive results this season. The Lions won their Thanksgiving tournament in convincing fashion to kick off the season and own an 8-0 record overall. The Lions’ undefeated mark will certainly be put to the test at the Wheaton North Tournament over the Christmas break.
Judge deals blow to North Riverside on fire contract
The village of North Riverside’s bid to privatize its fire department suffered a setback last week when a Cook County judge denied the village’s motion to delay contract arbitration with the firefighters union.
